Update: It was learned Wednesday that a fourth suspect is now in custody.

Three suspects are behind bars in connection to a gold nugget heist at the State Mining and Mineral Museum in Mariposa.

More than a million dollars in gold and minerals were stolen in an armed robbery in September.

Two men from Sutter County and a third from El Dorado County are now facing charges for the theft.

Lt. Mike Troxell with the California Highway Patrol said, "We did receive a lot of tips from the beginning of the investigation. Mariposa County Sheriff's Department received tips that were forwarded to us and we received anonymous tips."

CHP says there could be even more arrests in the case.
