It was a sea of red and gold Sunday in San Francisco as the 49ers were battling the Ravens in New Orleans.

CBS47's Diane Tuazon visited San Francisco to check out all the excitement as their hometown team made it to the Super Bowl for the first time since 1995.

Every sports bar in San Francisco was packed with the Niner faithful crowds, most filled to capacity.

Some die hard fans began lining up at 7:00 a.m. at the restaurants and bars near AT&T Park, home of the World Champion San Francisco Giants.

No matter what sports bar you walked into on Sunday, crowds were cheering on their hometown heroes.

Even though San Francisco lost to the Baltimore, for many of the loyal 49ers fans, the fact that their team made it this far is still a reason to celebrate.
