Police wasted no time serving a search warrant related to identity theft.

Federal agents and a U.S. Postal Inspector also were at the scene when they arrested 2 suspects, Laurie Packard and Emily Bobo.

Several identity theft cases led police to an address on north thorne where officers were seen gathering several boxes of evidence of identity theft from the home

"We know of 10 or 11 and many of these victims are not from Fresno. They are from through out the U.S." Sherree Flores, Fresno Police said.

Officers with the financial crimes unit say identity theft is a serious problem in the central valley.

"Suspects are breaking into homes, cars, stealing purses in order to get the info necessary," Flores said.

"You really need to be safe guard your SSN, you shouldn't carry your SNN card with you if at all possible," Flores said.
