Quality is an important consideration when purchasing outdoor furniture. There is some truth to the saying, 'you get what you pay for'. There are a few guidelines you can follow to help you make an informed purchase. Lift the furniture. Usually high-quality furniture will be quite heavy. Check the finish. The coating should be evenly applied. If you're purchasing furniture with cushions, make sure the seams are hidden and that the cushions are well shaped and plump. You might want cushions with an external cover that can be removed for cleaning. Buttons or other detailing should be attached securely. Welding should be smooth and sanded. Higher quality outdoor furniture will probably cost you more money, but will usually give you more durability in the long run.
