Thomas Gibson is calling the shots on Wednesday's Criminal Minds — not as Hotch, but as a director.
Criminal Minds' Thomas Gibson on directorial debut: "I'm so proud of it"
The actor, who helmed two episodes of Dharma & Greg 12 years ago, makes his Minds directorial debut with the episode (9/8c, CBS), which features guest star Ken Olin as a writer whose two daughters mysteriously disappear on the one-year anniversary of his wife's disappearance.
"Ken is phenomenal," Gibson tells TVGuide.com. "He's going to blow people away when they see it; he blew us away. He did a fantastic job."
