Temperatures are set to cool a little bit more.
Highs reached 98 in Fresno on Monday. The next couple days will be slightly cooler as the high pressure over Central California weakens. However, the highs will still be a couple degrees above seasonal averages.
Autumn begins next week and a big change in the weather is expected at nearly the same time. A cool, unsettled pattern brings the threat of showers and even storms.
