Very cold air settles in from the north for the beginning of 2013.
Temperatures early Monday morning will be below freezing in many Valley areas. Areas of frost are expected.
Temperatures early Tuesday morning will be in the 20s in many Valley areas. A freeze is expected and a Freeze Watch has been issued for Monday Night/Tuesday Morning. Valley lows on the first morning of 2013 will range from 25 to 28 degrees in the coldest areas. Temperatures may be below 32 degrees up to 10 hours and below 28 up to 5 hours.
Make sure pets are sheltered from the cold. Freezing fog and black ice are also possible.
