A cold front moved into central California Thursday evening bringing valley rain and mountain snow showers.  The snow level will drop to about 2,500-feet overnight.  1-3" of snow may fall in the foothills and up to 6" can be expected in the higher Sierra Nevada.  Rain showers will continue on and off through Friday afternoon.  Moisture will be light with forecast totals of .01-.20" in the valley.  Freezing morning low temperatures expected this weekend in the valley with highs in the 50s.
