High pressure is weakening over California. Sunday will be cooler than Saturday but still above-average highs nearing 70 and plenty of sun.
A cold and windy storm system hits Tuesday bringing rain to the San Joaquin Valley and snow to the Sierra.
Snow levels will drop as low as 3,500 feet.
It’s still somewhat early to know how much rain or snow to expect but here’s my best guess (as of Saturday night):
Lodgepole (Sequoia/Kings Canyon NPS)
10” snow
Ponderosa (Sequoia NP)
2.5” snow
Auberry
0.40” Rain, then snow flurries
China Peak
10” snow
Shaver Lake
7” snow
Oakhurst
0.50” rain, then .5” snow
Wawona
2” snow
Mariposa
0.50” rain, then snow flurries
Yosemite Village
8” snow
Fresno
0.25” rain
Visalia
0.20” rain
Hanford
0.15” rain
Madera
0.25” rain
Merced
0.25” rain
Los Banos
0.20” rain
Avenal
0.15” rain
Lemoore
0.15” rain
Have a great week!
