Yates Makes it Official with Mariners

Isaiah Yates, the 17th round draft pick of the Seattle Mariners, made it official with them Monday night, agreeing to a six year contract.

Yates chose to turn pro over playing at Fresno City College.

The outfielder signed his contract at Slates restaurant in Fresno with his mom Michelle, Mariners area scout Stacey Pettis, Cen Cal Baseball founder and head coach Terance Frazier, and Clovis East head coach Rigo Ledezma in attendance.

Years: 6

Amount: $100,000 (plus $73k for college)

Incentives package: Additional $7,500
