The U.S. Amateur is one of 13 national championships put on annually by the United States Golf Association.  It started Monday with a field of 312 golfers.

Four golfers are left, including Fresno's Michael Weaver.

Weaver, an ex-Clovis West golfer who was ranked 149th out of the 312 golfers at the U.S. Amateur, won again on Friday, beating his opponent, Ricardo Gouveia from Portugal, 4 and 3.

Weaver will tee off Saturday in the semifinals at 7:00 AM PT against Justin Thomas from Goshen, Kentucky.
