Sources are nice to have, but getting the facts from the person we're all talking about himself is ten times better.

Former Bulldog running back Kelly Skipper, who has been reported to have interviewed, or will interview for the Fresno State head football coaching job, told me a totally different story Monday night.

Reports have said Skipper is one of the top candidates for the job.

According to Skipper, that rumor is not true.

A source also told me Skipper has not been contacted.

Skipper ran for this 70 yard touchdown for Fresno State back in 1988.

He's the Raiders running backs coach.

Kelly's brother Tim was the interim defensive coordinator for the Bulldogs this past season.

Jim McElwain, who did interview for the Fresno State job, has decided to coach against the Bulldogs instead.

McElwain accepted the head coaching job at Mountain West rival Colorado State.

He reportedly agreed to a five year deal that will pay him 1 point 5 million a season.

McElwain was the Bulldogs offensive coordinator in 2007.

He's the OC at Alabama, and will guide the Crimson Tide's offense in the BCS National Championship Game against LSU January 9th in New Orleans.
