The dawning of a new season of Fresno State softball is near, and the Bulldogs will lean heavily on senior first baseman-slash-pitcher Michelle Moses to lead them back to the College World Series for the first time since 1999.
Michelle was a third-team All-American last year, and she has big goals in her final go-around in a Bulldog uniform.
MICHELLE MOSES: I think my mind set's the same as it's always been - i'm not doing anything different, just coming out here - of course we want to go further - we have a bunch of great girls and just getting ready like normal - normal business - i'm excited - it hasn't hit me yet that it's my last year - the last double days, the last everything so i'm pretty excited.
GEORGE TAKATA: is it your main goal to get this team back to oklahoma city - is that the number one priority for you this year?
MICHELLE MOSES: yeah, that's always the top goal but right now my person al number one goal is to get past that regional championship game - that's where we've always been caught - I think that's the first step in getting to that ultimate goal.
GEORGE TAKATA: what are just some personal goals you have for yourself this year as you head off into the sunset in a few months?
MICHELLE MOSES: school is one of my main ones - finish strong in academics - and then personally I want to win that (regional) championship game.
