Mike Brown was in Fresno on Thursday.

Brown, the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, was at the Save Mart Center to promote the team's preseason game against the Golden State Warriors on Sunday, October 7th.

This will be the Lakers' eighth preseason visit to Fresno since 1979, and first since 2008 when they lost to the Clippers.

"I know people don't get a chance to see the Lakers in person, living up here on a daily basis," said Brown.  "And they are fans of the Lakers because of Kobe and Dwight and Steve. You want to give the fans an opportunity to see these guys play.

"This is my first time coming to this building. And usually, when I was in Cleveland, sometimes when we'd play preseason games you kinda looked at the building, looked at the atmosphere and think 'oh my God, gosh I don't know. Guys, we'll shower back at the hotel,' you know? But this is a beautiful building...So I think our guys will like to play here. I know I'm looking forward to coaching here."
