Apparently no one outside of Fresno, California thinks the Bulldogs can beat the 4th-ranked Oregon Ducks on Saturday.
Not only is Oregon favored by 34 points, the Ducks have scored at least 30 points in 14 straight games.
"You know, I can't get into their heads. I know that we're taking them seriously. I would assume they're doing the same," said Fresno State coach Tim DeRuyter. "Our guys have a history of taking on people the national media, whomever, doesn't think we have a shot at...so I'm looking forward to bringing our team up there."
"You know, they're a great team and we didn't have a great season last year so what else are they gonna think of it?" said running back Robbie Rouse. "We just gotta come out and all the underdog, all that stat stuff, that means nothing. Everybody's still gotta line up and play."
If Fresno State does win and pull off a huge upset, it will be the Bulldogs' biggest win ever.
The highest ranked team they beat was 10th-ranked Oregon State in 2001. The last ranked team they beat was No. 18 Virginia in the 2004 MPC Computers Bowl.
