From The Associated Press:

Derek Carr threw for three touchdowns to lead Fresno State to a 42-14 victory against Wyoming on Saturday night.

Robbie Rouse ran for 91 yards on 20 carries for the Bulldogs (5-3, 3-1 Mountain West). He became the first player in school history to surpass 4,000 yards rushing in a career.

Brett Smith threw two touchdown passes for the Cowboys (1-6, 0-3), but completed just 18 of 38 passes for 158 yards. He was intercepted by Phillip Thomas, who returned it for a TD -- the fifth time Fresno State has done that this season, a school record.

Carr was 32 of 48 for 268 yards, and Davante Adams had 11 receptions for 86 yards.

In the first half, Rashad Evans caught a 6-yard touchdown pass and returned a punt 78 yards for a score as the Bulldogs built a 35-0 lead at intermission.

Thomas now has seven interceptions, tops in the nation.
