Before Tom Brady got all the headlines for being a Super Bowl champion quarterback, his big sister Maureen showed him how to become a headliner.

Maureen Brady was an All-American pitcher at Fresno State in the 1990's, and she is in awe of what "Tommy" has done on and off the field.

***story script***

BEFORE TOM BRADY BECAME THE SUPERSTAR IN HIS FAMILY...

MAUREEN BRADY: you get in a groove, especially in the second game like after I pitch the first game it's just like in the second game i'm just really warm, they're not gonna touch me.

HIS BIG SISTER MAUREEN WAS.

MAUREEN BRADY WAS AN ALL-AMERICAN PITCHER FOR THE FRESNO STATE SOFTBALL TEAM.

SHE STILL RANKS SECOND IN PROGRAM HISTORY FOR WINS IN A SEASON... WITH 36 IN 1994.

AND "TOMMY" WOULD BE THERE AT BULLDOG DIAMOND WATCHING HER DO HER THING.

MAUREEN BRADY: he'd be there and he'd be rooting for us - he'd be cheering the bulldogs on - always around - always around sports, he just loved it, and still to this day he loves softball.

SINCE BOTH MAUREEN AND TOM PLAYED AT THE HIGHEST LEVELS OF COMPETITION... SHE UNDERSTANDS HIS COMPETITIVE SPIRIT MORE THAN OTHERS... WHETHER IT'S AGAINST EACH OTHER... OR TALKING ABOUT A GAME.

MAUREEN BRADY: we battle - we have so much fun - we're a lot alike, tommy and I and we talk about that - sometimes when we talk you know, I listen to him, he listens to me because we know each other's feelings.

TOM WILL BE GOING FOR HIS FOURTH SUPER BOWL WIN SUNDAY AGAINST THE GIANTS IN INDIANAPOLIS... MAUREEN WILL BE THERE WITH THE ENTIRE BRADY CLAN...

THE TWO SIBLINGS TALK AFTER EVERY GAME... AND AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK.

AND WHETHER THEY'RE ALL GROWN UP IN PICTURES LIKE THIS ONE... BOTH OF THEM ARE ON THE LEFT...

OR THIS OLD SCHOOL VERSION... WITH MAUREEN AT THE TOP... BIG SIS HAS ALWAYS BEEN PROUD OF HER BROTHER... ESPECIALLY FOR WHAT HE'S DOING AWAY FROM THE GAME.

MAUREEN BRADY: on sunday's you'll see him as the starting quarterback of the patriots and future hall of famer and fierce competitor, comeback kid or whatever they call him but really, he's a great man - he's really a great guy - as his sister, especially his oldest sister, that's what i'm really most proud of.
