Fresno State announced on Wednesday that three players have been suspended for Saturday's game at New Mexico State because of a violation of team rules: linebacker Kyle Knox, center Richard Helepiko and guard Matt Hunt.

Here is the statement issued by the university:

Director of Athletics Thomas Boeh announced Wednesday that Fresno State senior Kyle Knox has been suspended from the football team for the next two games while juniors Matt Hunt and Richard Helepiko have been suspended for one game for a violation of athletic department policy. These players will not practice the remainder of this week.
