Thank you Central Valley for making the September On Your Side Collection Drive another huge success.
With your help, we collected donations of care packages and letters for our Military men and women serving overseas.
CBS47 partnered with the United States Entertainment Force and the Fresno County Wine Journey and enlisted the special services of the children of the Central Valley -- to a personalize shoe box, and write letters to military personnel.
Then on Wednesday, September 29th, viewers from all over the Valley brought care package items to be placed inside the shoe boxes, which will then be delivered to soldiers in Afghanistan.
As a special thank you, the first 250 adult donors also received a free pass to the Fresno County Wine Journey-Harvest Adventure on Saturday, October 2nd & 3rd. CBS47 will be there for another great evening with the wineries of the Twin Rivers Vintners of Fresno County.
