The annual Veterans Day Parade in downtown Fresno is said to be the largest west of the Mississippi.

CBS47’s Mike Scott spoke with World War II veteran Chuck Terrazas with the Legion of Valor Museum in downtown Fresno.

Terrazas says the large turnout for the annual parade is due to the patriotism in the Valley. He also says the museum will be kept open beyond the normal 3:00hours to allow people to visit following the parade.

The parade will begin around 11:00 a.m. in front of Fresno City Hall and winds its way to Chukchansi Park.

The Legion of Valor Museum is located at 2425 Fresno Street in downtown Fresno.
