Roy Silva of Planet Hair Salon in River Park knows women want great hair for the holidays.
The trend right now is loose curls like you see on the Real Housewives of Orange County and other celebrities and Planet Hair stylists say everyone wants the look.
Stylist Sil Barron worked with Kate Abston to get her ready for the holidays. She says sometimes people are overwhelmed with long hair. Sil said loose curls will keep Kate's hair from looking like it's "too much."
To get started, Sil added products and straightened Kate’s hair. She then parted the hair into sections and started in the back and at the scalp; she loosely wrapped the hair around the curling iron. She then moved down the hair and pinned it to allow it to set.
In the front, she wrapped the hair a little more loosely and didn't clamp it, so that curls would remain loose.
She then used hairspray to set the waves and teased the top to give it a little body and with some final touches, Kate had her holiday hair.
