Join CBS47 and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for the annual Light the Night Walk on Saturday, October 20th at Riverview Shopping Center in North Fresno. CBS47's own Jenny Toste will be the emcee of this great event.

The Light The Night Walk is the nation's night to pay tribute and bring hope to people battling cancer.  People form teams of friends and family or co-workers.

Participants raise funds for cancer research and bring help and hope to people battling these terrible diseases. Walkers carry illuminated twinkling balloons - white for survivors & patients, red for supporters, gold in memory of a life lost.

More than a walk, the evening is a supportive community gathering that includes music, food and family activities.

Funds raised by teams and individual walkers provide:
Lifesaving blood cancer research
Free educational materials and events for patients and their families
Local programs such as Family Support Groups and First Connection, a peer-to-peer counseling program
Comprehensive, personalized assistance through our Information Resource Center

Festivities begin at 4:00 p.m.
Remembrance Ceremony: 5:45 p.m.
Walk begins at 7:00 p.m. at Riverview Shopping Center at Friant & Ft. Washington.
