Join CBS47 & The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for the annual Light the Night Walk on October 22nd at Woodward Park.

The Light The Night Walk is the nation's night to pay tribute and bring hope to people battling cancer.  People form teams of friends and family or co-workers.

Participants raise funds for cancer research and bring help and hope to people battling these terrible diseases. Walkers carry illuminated twinkling balloons - white for survivors & patients, red for supporters, gold in memory of a life lost.

Funds raised by teams and individual walkers provide:
  • Lifesaving blood cancer research
  • Free educational materials and events for patients and their families
  • Local programs such as Family Support Groups and First Connection, a peer-to-peer counseling program
  • Comprehensive, personalized assistance through our Information Resource Center
The event is more than just a walk - it's a community gathering that includes music, food and family fun.

A remembrance ceremony begins at 5:45 p.m. followed by the walk at 7:00 p.m.
