North Valley Congressman Dennis Cardoza has announced he will not seek reelection.
The Democrat has represented Merced and the 18th District since 2003 but he's held political office for more than two decades.
Cardoza says he has loved representing the Central Valley and will continue his efforts to improve California as a private citizen.
