Fresno County Supervisors have appointed a new county clerk.
The board voted unanimously to appoint Brandi Orth to fill the position.
Last week, the current clerk Victor Salazar unexpected announced he was leaving despite the fact that he had several years left on his term.
Orth has several years experience with the local elections process.
