The final Cool School of the year is Terronez Middle School, who dances their way into summer every year.
Terronez Middle School, located at Willow and Church in Southeast Fresno, has been doing the big dance to wrap up the school year for the past 5 years.
The entire student body gets together, outside, and they dance their way into summer.
The students like it and it has a lot of positive impact on the entire student body.
Physical education teacher Shirley Davidson said, "Any time you can bring students together, focused on what they have in common, instead of what is different, that's a great thing."
Principal Virginia Mendez said. "What I've noticed, dance for me too, and for everybody, builds up endorphins, right? So with that, we have happy kids. With happy kids, we can concentrate more on academics vs issues, drama, that kind of stuff."
Student Jenna Smith said, "Dance is everything. You can use it to let go of anger, to express sadness, you can dance when you're happy, dance when you're mad. Dancing is everything. It's emotions."
Congratulations to all of these student dancers at Terronez Middle School and we look forward to doing your Cool School next fall.
