A Fresno charter school is receiving national attention. University High was named one of the best schools in the country.
Out of nearly 22,000 schools, the U.S. News & World Report ranks University High School the 10th best charter school and the 46th best school in the nation.
The school was also recognized by Newsweek and The Washington Post.
University High School head James Bushman said, "What the rankings really show is, yes we do have a very rigorous program here at University High School. Yes our kids do very well in that program and they're not only going off to college in large numbers but graduating from college as well."
University High School opened 12 years ago and is located on on the campus of Fresno State.
