Research on Obesity Among California Kids

The California Center for Public Health Advocacy (CCPHA) and the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research released data on the childhood obesity epidemic in California cities.

Huntington Park in LA County ranked worst on the list of 250 cities with 53% overweight/obese students, while Manhattan Beach in LA County ranked the best at only 11.3%.

So how did some of the the Valley cities do? Delano 48%, Sanger 47.5%, Atwater 45.1, Selma 47%, Madera 45.1%, Dinuba 44.9% Los Banos 44.5%, Porterville 44%, Tulare 43.6%, Bakersfield 42.7%, Fresno 42.5%, Lemoore 42.3%, Merced 40.9, Visalia 40.8%, Hanford 40.5.
