The 13th Annual Matt Mueller Memorial Blood Drive takes place Wednesday and Thursday at Buchanan High in Clovis.

The blood drive takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the multipurpose room at Buchanan High School, located at Teague and Minnewawa in Clovis.

Students at Buchanan can get out of class to give blood between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and then the public is invited to donate after 2:30 p.m. both days.

Matt Mueller was Buchanan's first activities director and held the first blood drive at the high school. Following his death in 2000, students decided to continue the tradition and named the event in his honor.

You can also donate at any Central California Blood Center in Fresno, Visalia and Porterville.

Donors must be at least 17-years-old to donate blood. Students that are 16-years-old can donate with written parental consent.
