There is a free bone marrow registry taking place Friday and Saturday at the Clovis Veterans Memorial Building.

The drive is for 4 local boys and one girl, but could potentially help anyone waiting for a lifesaving transplant.

The goal of the drive is to add 1,500 new donors to the registry.

Registration normally requires the donor to pay a fee but that fee is being waived during this drive, with the cost being covered by generous donations from non-profit agencies and other agencies around the country.

Registering is easy and painless; they just swab the inside of your cheek.

The drive takes place Friday 4-9:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Clovis Veterans Memorial Building, located at 453 Hughes Avenue in Clovis.
