After seeing the story of a family losing everything in a fire, some Good Samaritans stepped up to help out.
The two alarm fire ripped through the home in northeast Fresno early Thursday morning.
Eight people living inside escaped with their lives and little more because the fire was a total loss.
The Red Cross is helping the family with a temporary place to stay but they are in need of everything at this point.
Teresa Sitterding saw the story on the news and decided she needed to help. "I reached out to all my family and friends and put it on Facebook -- This family needs help. Anything and everything is grateful. So, six families came to my rescue," said Teresa.
victim Kristina said, "We appreciate the help. We have kids and that's our priority."
