Central Unified School District has launched its "Summer Seamless Meals Program". Six locations will offer free breakfast and lunch to anyone 18 years and younger. Low-cost meals will also be available to adults. Funding comes from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Central Unified will also keep several school site libraries open, offering families a place to visit, borrow books and take part in children's programs.
