It looks like tuition hikes at Fresno State and UC Merced are on hold, at least for now.

The governing boards of both the California State University and University of California systems postponed a plan to raise tuition prices.

The move comes one week after Proposition 30 was approved by California voters.

Prop 30 raises $6 billion a year in taxes, with a portion going to public universities in the state.
