Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and can make all the difference when it comes to your child's success in school. Fresno County Schools Superintendent Larry Powell stopped by CBS47 This Morning to talk about it. He says eating breakfast is a fundamental thing we should do daily. Starting off the day with a nutritious meal can help improve learning, as well. For families in need, there are programs at Fresno Co. campuses that will provide low-cost/no-cost breakfasts to students.

Powell also talked about the GOT MILK? Billboard contest. It's open to teenagers 13-18 around California. Students are asked to submit a photo, illustrating why breakfast with milk is important for their health and academic performance. The winners get $1,000 and will be featured in a GOT MILK? billboard in their hometown.
