A warning for those who want to donate to victims of the massacre in Newtown, Connecticut:  The Better Business Bureau says scammers are preying on people's kindness.  The fact that it's the holiday season means more people want to give, therefore more scammers want a piece of the pie.

The biggest tip is not sending money to companies that seek you out.  BBB also recommends being wary of anyone who says 100% hundred percent of donations goes to victims.

One company BBB recommends is United Way, which has set up a Sandy Hook Support Fund.
