Big Changes This Weekend
A major change in the weather is coming this weekend. Heavy rain and snow will fall Saturday and Sunday. The heaviest rain and snow is expected early Saturday morning when a cold front will dive through Central California. Snow levels will drop to about 2,000-feet and thunderstorms are possible in the valley on Sunday.

Freezing Mornings continue for the Valley
The cold, dry air remains overhead, so once again overnight lows dropped into the mid 20s & low 30s for the valley floor, but slightly warmer than yesterday. Afternoon highs remain slightly above average, near 60 for the valley, upper 50s in the foothills, and low 50s to mid 40s in the mountains. We'll drop into the upper 20s to low 30s once again tonight for the valley, so continue to protect pets, plants, and pipes. Overnight lows will slowly warm, but frost will continue through Saturday. Slight chance of mtn. snow by Monday and valley clouds will keep us insulated overnight.
Wind Blasts Central California
Powerful winds blasted through Central California Thursday downing trees, damaging power lines and causing all kinds of problems.
Winds of Change
Strong wind blew out the low clouds and fog from the San Joaquin Valley on Wednesday. The winds came from the northwest and gusted up to 40 mph in the north valley. A Wind Advisory is in effect for the valley and a High Wind Warning is effective for the foothills and mountains. Skies will be clear overnight and sunny Thursday afternoon. Valley fog returns for the weekend.
