In Tim DeRuyter's first season as Fresno State's head football coach, he has the Bulldogs in position to win a share of the Mountain West conference championship; all they have to do is beat Air Force on November 24th.
As we all know, DeRuyter came to Fresno from Texas A&M, where he was the defensive coordinator for the past two seasons. The Aggies just upset No. 1 Alabama on Saturday, costing the Crimson Tide a shot at another national championship.
A loss to Texas A&M is also the only blemish on Louisiana Tech's schedule this season. The Bulldogs from Ruston...and the WAC...are 9-1, with that lone loss coming by two points (59-57) to the Aggies. Louisiana Tech is 20th right now in the BCS Standings and clinging to an outside chance of geting into a BCS game.
Oh, and Louisiana Tech beat Fresno State at Bulldog Stadium last year.
