PGA Tour golfer and Valley native Kevin Chappell will host a golf clinic for Children’s Hospital patients Oct. 8 to teach them the basics of the sport.
In May, Chappell launched a philanthropic program at Children’s Hospital Central California called Champions for Children’s to raise money and awareness for Children's oncology program. On Monday evening, Chappell will host a golf clinic and dinner for founding members of his Champions for Children’s program.
From putting to chipping, the children will have fun learning from a professional golfer when the clinic begins at 1:30 p.m. on the back lawn and putting green. Following the clinic, Kevin will visit patients.
Children's Hospital is located at 9300 Valley Children’s Place in Madera.
