Who's ready for playoff baseball?

The Atwater Aviators, a summer league team in Merced County, are hosting the Pacific West Baseball League Tournament this Thursday through Sunday.

The PWBL is an interstate summer collegiate wood bat baseball league.

Atwater (34-17) is the No. 2 seed in the six team double-elimination bracket and received a first-round bye:

1. Top Speed Baseball (Santa Rosa) - bye
2. Atwater Aviators - bye
3. Auburn Wildcats
4. Alameda Merchants
5. San Francisco Seagulls
6. California Glory (Lodi)

Atwater has won 12 straight games and will play at 7 pm Thursday night against the Auburn/California winner.  The tournament championship game, for the two teams that advance that fair, is Sunday at 11 am.
