Tony is a general assignment reporter. He joined the CBS 47 team in the Fall of 2007.
A native Californian, Tony grew up in the small East Bay town of Byron. He graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in broadcast journalism. While in school, Tony interned for KTVU and Fox Sports Bay Area.
Originally, he dreamed of becoming a sportscaster. However, a job opportunity in the news department of KRCR in Redding kicked the door open and created a shift in his career path. He took the news baton and never looked back. After spending a little more than 3 years in the Northstate, he migrated south to the Central Valley.
“The different places and people the news business takes me to each day is what makes the job exciting. I believe we live life so that our experiences can give us a story to tell and I get the luxury of sharing a lot of them with viewers.”
Tony comes from a strong Italian background. However, he was pleasantly surprised to learn Fresno has a large Armenian population, since his great grandfather was a full-blooded Armenian.
Tony is an avid San Francisco Giants and 49ers fan. He looks forward to catching some Grizzlies games and dining out at all of the area’s tasty restaurants. In his off time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter and son... as well as working on projects around the house.
