Rachel Azevedo

A Fresno native, Rachel Azevedo returned to the Central Valley in April 2010 to rejoin the CBS47 news team as a multimedia journalist. For three years, she worked behind the scenes before heading to Bend, Oregon, to get her start in front of the camera.

While in Bend, Rachel reported on local news, sports, and even filled in as a weather anchor. One of her favorite stories was about a high school wrestler who completed against able-bodied athletes, despite the fact that his legs are amputated above the knees.

Rachel is a proud graduate of Fresno State, where she majored in Mass Communications. She also rooted for the Bulldogs from the sidelines as part of the Fresno State cheerleading team. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys jogging and Bikram Yoga.
