Jack Highberger joined CBS47 in January of 2013 as a general assignment reporter. Jack is a graduate of the Walter Cronkite School Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University.
Growing up with two parents working in news allowed Jack early exposure to the power and importance of TV-journalism. The duality of his early experiences in television and those gained growing up on his families ranch in Colorado, fostered a passion for telling the stories of the people around him.
During his time at Arizona State University, he completed internships with NBC News in London, England and Charlotte, NC, as well as with The Arizona Republic and NBC affiliate KPNX in Phoenix.
Jack spent two semesters working as a reporter and anchor for the school's award winning Cronkite NewsWatch broadcast. While there, he was one of nine college students nationwide to win the 2012 Roy W. Howard National Collegiate Reporting Competition.
