Brittney Hopper was born and raised in Southern California and is happy to back in her home State. Before joining CBS47, Brittney worked for KXRM in Colorado Springs, Colorado. There, she covered a range of stories; one in particular was an in-depth investigative story on the homeless camping ordinance issue. Brittney spent time in the homeless camps sharing with viewers the stories of homelessness through one person’s daily struggles. Prior to her assignments in Colorado, Brittney was at KESQ, Palm Springs, California where she covered the 2007 devastating wildfires and a casino shooting that made national headlines. Brittney also investigated the on-going issue of illegal immigration; she traveled with the US Border Patrol for a week through dangerous areas in El Centro, California and through Yuma Ariz.
A graduate of San Francisco State University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism; Brittney began her journalism career after college at KTVZ, Bend Oregon.
When she's not out in the field reporting, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, her dog Louis, outdoor activities and anything that has to do with News!
