Andrew joined the CBS 47 team as Weekend Sports Anchor in February of 2008. His dad joked that he “keeps going farther and farther west.”

Andrew grew up in central New Jersey and after graduating from Syracuse University in 2003, he accepted his first on-air job as the weekend sports anchor at KNBN-TV in Rapid City, South Dakota. He spent nearly two years there before becoming the weekend sports anchor at KBCI-TV in Boise, Idaho in May of 2005.

(Side note: Yes, Andrew is aware he is now covering Boise State’s biggest rival, though in his defense he did get to go to Arizona to cover Boise State’s incredible win over Oklahoma in the 2007 Fiesta Bowl).

While in Boise, Andrew was a jack-of-all-trades. In addition to his work at KBCI, he also delivered morning sports updates on the ESPN radio affiliate for nearly a year and a half, wrote a weekly article on Boise State athletics for rivals.com, was the color analyst for the 2006 and 2007 Idaho high school all-star football games, and did play-by-play on the internet for the 2007 WAC Soccer Tournament.

In 2006, Andrew won the award for “Best Sportscast” from the Idaho State Broadcasters Association.

He is an avid fan of both the New York Yankees and his alma mater, Syracuse, but he’ll pretty much watch any sporting event if it’s on TV. Andrew also loves playing ultimate frisbee and trying to track down where his golf balls land (hint: nowhere near the greens).
